Water Heating Systems

Has your drinking water ever tasted like it came from the bottom of a river? Has your morning shower ever felt like a dive in arctic waters? Whether you answered yes once or twice, you've come across a reason for keeping the water systems of your home in good shape.

This is a job that we at Plumber San Antonio can do, and do exceptionally well. Our mastery of plumbing allows us to ensure the continued function of your water filtration and water heating systems through expert inspection, repair, replacement, and maintenance. We can also explain to you how these systems work, so you can better understand the importance of maintaining them.

Filtration in Drinking Water Systems

Water travels from the main into your home via water supply lines, and then finds its way to your household fixtures and appliances. Since this water has already been cooled to a temperature acceptable for standard home use, you can use it to wash, flush (toilet water), and drink.

If you want to do the latter, however, you may want to bolster your water supply system with appliances like American Plumber water filters and water softeners for safety reasons. Doing so will limit or effectively eliminate contaminants and other potentially harmful minerals in your drinking water. Having extra filters installed under your sinks will make it even safer for you to quench your thirst.

As per Plumber San Antonio's first-rate plumbing services, we can install these appliances with little cost and inconvenience to you, and without endangering your plumbing system.

About Water Heaters and Boilers

Water from the main also makes it to your water heater or boiler. No matter what your heater runs on – be it gas or electricity – it is likely capable of holding 40 or even 60 gallons of water. This water, which is stored in your heater's steel tank, is heated in accordance with the temperature you set with your heater's thermostat.

Depending on your set up, one or more pipes will take the water from your heater and distribute it to the fixtures and appliances that demand it. At the base of your heater, you'll find its drain valve, which you can use to clear sediments from your heater's tank.

Guidelines for proper heater use include maintaining a temperature of 49 to 60 degrees Celsius (120 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and frequently draining deposits and sediments from your heater's tank. In spite of adhering to these guidelines, however, your heater may still experience characteristic problems like noise, leaks, and sediment build up.

But regardless of your heater's or boiler's trouble, you can count on Plumber San Antonio's experts for a quick and lasting fix. In addition to resolving your heating problems or crises, we can offer you tips on how to keep your heater or boiler in impeccable condition.
